Ross W. McCrady, Senior Vice President, Senior Investment Advisor
Ross began his career in the investment industry in February of 1969, with Richardson Securities. Circumstances allowed a move to Vancouver in September of 1973, when he moved to Merrill Lynch to join their institutional team. His primary role there was to facilitate money market trading and provide support to the bond and equity traders. In 1975, he moved to Pitfield MacKay Ross to become the Institutional Representative in Edmonton, where, for the next ten years, he was active covering Edmonton, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories’ pensions, government institutions, corporations and foundations for their stock, bond, and money market needs. In 1985, Nesbitt Burns’ predecessor firm, Nesbitt Thomson, provided an offer to handle the Edmonton institutions exclusively. In 1987, a change in business focus saw an emphatic shift to high net worth families and small institutions.
Forty years of investment experience with an institutional focus has allowed Ross to become a leader in the field of managing investment accounts for high net worth families and small institutions.
Away from the office, Ross enjoys spending time outdoors either fly-fishing or hunting. He loves traveling, reading, and locating blues venues off the beaten path. In 2006 and 2005, Ross was the chairman of the Edmonton Trout Unlimited Dinner.
Sean C. Rourke, B.Comm, FMA, FCSI, CFA, Investment Advisor
After his graduation from the University of Alberta, where he majored in Finance, and armed with his Bachelor of Commerce degree, in 1997, Sean began his career with Ross McCrady at Nesbitt Burns. Sean was licensed as an Investment Advisor in 1999, earned his FMA designation in 2002, his FCSI designation in 2006, and became a CFA charter holder in 2007. Sean is in a partnership with Ross McCrady, where they serve both high net worth clients and small institutional clients in Edmonton and Fort McMurray.
Sean's hobbies include golf, snowboarding, working out at the gym, running, reading - specifically true stories or business fiction – and travelling.
