I have been an Investment Advisor since 2000, all of those years with BMO Nesbitt Burns. Prior to 2000, I specialized in financial risk control with BMO Bank of Montreal. I am a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and will be working toward my Certified Investment Manager and Portfolio Manager designations. I have served three years as an Assistant Branch Manager with BMO Nesbitt Burns responsible for over 25 Investment Advisors with assets totalling over $2 billion.
In 2008, Saro Khatchadourian joined my team from BMO Bank of Montreal as Investment Associate. Together with our assistant Suzanne Probyn, our team has built a unique value proposition and service model. Clients will have access to our comprehensive service offering tailored for high net worth individuals. Clients can expect a written investment policy and a retirement and estate plan (including insurance and banking review). In addition, clients will have access to our risk based, tactical asset management that is unique and has proven to add value in all market conditions.
In June 2009, I accepted the opportunity to hold a dual office located at BMO Bank of Montreal - 8400 Jane Street in Concord, Ontario as their Resident Investment Advisor. The Jane and Langstaff branch is a major Commercial Banking centre and a great opportunity to increase the range of solutions we are able to offer our clients.

Tactical Asset Management
We are not buy and hold asset managers. We believe there is a right time to own any asset and our tools help us identify when that time is. We have developed an independent technique to manage asset allocation and portfolio risk. Our strategy deploys your capital within the parameters of your asset allocation to mitigate risk and preserve capital first, then to create wealth where opportunity presents itself. We use our tools to tactically shift portfolio risk between the three major asset classes – cash and short term, fixed income and equities. We constantly review the relative strength of these classes to determine where best to allocate capital. We are happy to discuss this process in detail with you.

We are committed to a superior service model for our clients. Our team; Investment Advisor, Associate Investment Advisor and Sales Assistant are all available resources to provide timely response and resolution to our client queries. We establish and encourage two way lines of communication between our clients and our team. This is achieved by frequency of contact through telephone, e-mail and face-to-face dialogue. We agree to the frequency of our formal reviews in advance, to mutually ensure expectations are understood.

The Community
I believe community involvement is very important. I am involved with S.O.A.R. - a York Region based charity that raises funds and awareness for suicide prevention and works closely with the Canadian Mental Health Association. More recently, I have become involved with the Tour for Kids – an epic four day cycling adventure that raises money and awareness for pediatric cancer. I have also served as the Chair of the Leadership Development Council at the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation. Lastly to fulfil my addition to sports, I’ve had the pleasure of coaching various Markham Waxer hockey teams over the past 10 years.
