The CFA designation is awarded by the Association for Investment Management and Research in Charlottesville, Virginia after completion of a comprehensive three year study program which covers such investment topics as equity and fixed income analysis, economics, portfolio management and international investing. The CFA is the most highly regarded designation in the investment industry.

Individuals who are concerned about retirement investing through RRSPs constitute a large part of my clientele. I have written on RRSP investing for The Globe and Mail and Montreal Business Magazine.

I take a portfolio approach to investing, with an emphasis on the preservation of capital and a minimization of taxes. Of particular interest are the American equity markets. A great diversity of top quality companies traded on the New York Stock Exhange and NASDAQ are analyzed and recommended by our U.S. associates, three of the American securities industry's best known firms.

Many Canadian investors have not yet discovered that insurance products are significant estate planning tools. I believe in an integrated approach to wealth creation and protection using insurance products which are available through BMO Nesbitt Burns Financial Services Inc.
