Personal Background:
Ian was born and raised in Saskatchewan. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan, he joined a major Canadian financial institution and subsequently moved to Calgary. During his twenty year banking career, he held positions of increased responsibility in Small Business and Commercial Banking as well as Private Banking and Branch Management.
Ian has used his talent for financial planning to facilitate his own dreams. Keenly interested in travel, photography and personal learning, Ian has taken periodic sabbaticals during his career to pursue those interests while maintaining his family’s financial stability.
An active participant in the community, Ian is a Rotarian and past president of the Rotary Club of Calgary Sarcee. He is Treasurer and Chair, Finance Committee of the Parks Foundation, Calgary and volunteer with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation.
