    What We Do?

With all our clients we work through a simple process which answers the three questions that every Canadian should be able to answer about their retirement, namely,

    - what level of income should I expect in retirement
    - what level of assets do I need to produce this income
    - what do I need to do to get there?

The process begins by reviewing clients "financial big picture" to develop a Retirement Plan which graphically answers the three questions. During this process we look for Tax and Estate Planning opportunities and possible inter-generational wealth transfer opportunities. A key element of the process is the preparation of an Investment Policy Statement to indicate the clients' investment profile that best matches their comfort level. The process ends by ensuring that a viable Investment Plan is produced to help clients achieve their objectives as set out in the Retirement Plan and their Investment Policy Statement. The process continues with on-going regular reviews and adjustments.

Some people come to us looking for portfolio reviews or second opinions on their current holdings.

    How We Do It?

We believe that it's essential when dealing with clients' hard earned money not to speculate but to preserve those hard-earned dollars and help grow it at a reasonable pace. We have developed a "strong" process over the years to drive the relationships we have with all of our clients, namely :
    - conducting big picture reviews and personal investment profiling
    - identifying objectives including Retirement, Estate and Transition planning
    - looking at the current asset mix and investment types to link clients to world class money managers and selected mutual funds
    - the on-going communication process commonly leads back to the beginning of the process where new information is gathered and goals are re-revisited.

    Referrals

We like to think we do a good job for our clients and depend to a large extent on growing our business through referrals from satisfied clients. We have four suggestions for how to handle this situation as follows :
    - First, if you have been talking to someone who you think we should contact, give us a call and we would be delighted to get in touch with them.
    - Secondly, we send you a business card. Should an opportunity present itself, we would be most grateful if you would pass it along to a friend or a colleague who might be interested in a complimentary opinion on his or her portfolio or financial picture.
    - Thirdly, we would be delighted to add people you know to our mailing list for the great selection of educational material and seminars we offer, so they can get a better sense of the approach that we take to investing - simply email, fax or mail back their contact particulars.
    - Fourthly, please refer family, colleagues and friends to this web site.
