Marilyn Pollock, B.T., B.Ed. Investment Advisor Financial Planner
I hold two university degrees, Bachelor of Teaching and Bachelor of Education (majoring in Commerce), as well as several business designations. I have completed my Professional Financial Planners course, Canadian Options Course, and Canadian Securities Course.
My work experience includes 19 years experience in the financial planning industry. Previous to this, I spent several years teaching high school business subjects at a variety of schools.
In addition to the aforementioned degrees and designations, I actively participate in the continuing education program whereby on a yearly basis I completed both compliance, as well as product knowledge courses. In both instances, I exceed industry standards as to number of courses required to complete.
I am married to a retired school principal and have two children, Benjamin and Denessa. My primary recreational interest is golf and I have served as President of the New Brunswick Ladies Golf Association for 3 years. I was actively involved in the amalgamation of the NBGA and the NBLGA and sit on the executive of the new association. In addition I serve on the RCGA Investment Committee and have been recognized nationally with Volunteer of the Year award. At the local level, I serve on my local golf club’s board of directors and have in the past held the offices of Tournament Director, Secretary and President.
