MEET SHELLEY ARMSTRONG

Originally from Ontario, Shelley moved to the West Coast after obtaining her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Guelph. Shelley began work in the financial services field in 1996.   In addition to having earned her securities designation, Shelley has completed the Professional Financial Planning Course and the Financial Management Advisor accreditation.  Shelley and her spouse live on acreage in rural Langley, BC.  Outside of work, Shelley enjoys gardening and tending her honeybees and spends many weekends in the summer camping, fishing and spending time with her two very active Labrador Retrievers.  Shelley feels it is important to take an active role in the White Rock community where she dedicates her time to fund raising efforts for the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.

CREATING YOUR PERSONAL INVESTMENT PLAN

Shelley will design an investment plan that is specific to your individual needs and goals. The first thing she will do will be to sit down with you to determine exactly what your goals and objectives are within the context of your overall financial situation.  After completing this process of consultation, an Investment Policy Statement will be created.  In it, Shelley will document strategies designed to build, but also protect, your wealth. The next step is to build an investment portfolio using a disciplined, long-term wealth management approach.  Shelley will determine an appropriate mix of assets, the specific securities that represent the best opportunity for profit, and how to best structure your account for making money after tax, inflation and fees. Since economic and market conditions are always changing, it is imperative to continually monitor your portfolio.  From time to time, changes in the asset mix or security selection are required. It is also important to review your portfolio as your personal situation changes.  Shelley will keep you informed regarding the development and growth of your portfolio, as well as the economic factors that influence it.
