Tom Gougeon Vice President, Senior Investment Advisor
Tom has been in the investment business for 25 years. After completing a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, he entered into the bond portfolio management department of a Canadian Crown Corporation and in 1980 started his investment counselling practise with a major Canadian financial institution. Over the last 25 years he has provided investment advice for clients both in Canada and abroad with portfolio management, corporate finance as well as private equity. He has also managed branches for a Canadian and an American investment dealer. His industry designations include the standard securities license, branch manager designation, option license and insurance licenses. He is dually employed by BMO Nesbitt Burns and Nesbitt Burns Securities Limited, a US broker dealer, which enables him to handle residents of the United States. Shelly Lairar Investment Associate
Shelly graduated from Loyalist College in 1992 in Economics. Since that time she has held various positions in the Insurance and Personal Trust Division; with two major Canadian financial institutions. In 1996 she entered the Canadian Securities Industry in an administrative role, and now holds an advisory capacity dealing with clients and providing solutions to Financial Planning problems. She specializes in retirement planning and portfolio construction. Shelly brings to the table a unique ability to provide creative solutions to a wide variety of family financial planning situations, using her knowledge of tax, insurance and investment alternatives. She completed the Professional Financial Planner course, and provides exceptional service in a clear and concise manner. Shelly provides educational seminars by way of luncheons and after work sessions for both individuals and corporations. Shelly currently resides in the Ottawa Valley with her family. Email Shelly
Julie has been in the investment industry for the last 20 years, 9 of those with BMO Nesbitt Burns. Julie has held all administrative positions at BMO Nesbitt Burns, from Cage Clerk to Wire Operator and is currently an Investment Representative and Administrative Assistant. She acquired her Canadian Securities Course in January of 1992. Julie prides herself on executing client's requests in a timely manner, and in doing so as efficiently as possible.
