Christy is an economist on the Economics Research team. She analyzes and forecasts a variety of commodities and Canadian industries. Christy also contributes to BMO Nesbitt Burns' monthly publication The Goods and other industry publications.
Prior to her role as an economist, Christy worked with BMO's Risk Management group where she developed econometric models to control the credit risk in bank's portfolios. Prior to working on Bay Street, she also taught economics courses at the undergraduate level at the University of Toronto and the University of Victoria.
Christy earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Victoria, a Bachelor in Finance and Economics, and an Associate Degree in Computer Science from Sun Yat-Sen University in China. She also holds a Financial Risk Manager designation.
