Richard Mills joined Burns Fry Ltd. in 1986 as an Investment Advisor in Toronto. In 1991, he became a producing manager of one of the firm's downtown Toronto branches. Under his management, the number of brokers more than doubled in three years.

In 1993, Mr. Mills became a Director and at the time of the Nesbitt Thomson and Burns Fry merger in early 1995, he was promoted to Divisional Manager for 13 Branches in the Toronto region at Nesbitt Burns.

In November 1999, Mr. Mills was appointed to his current position as National Sales Manager, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the Private Client Division. Comprised of over 1300 Investment Advisors, in 164 branches across Canada, Mr. Mills heads up one of the largest full-service sales force in Canada.

Mr. Mills is a member of the Board of Trustees for BMO Nesbitt Burns Group of Funds and is on the Board of Directors for BMO Nesbitt Burns Securities Ltd.

Mr. Mills holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Acadia University and completed his Masters of Business Administration at York University in 1977.
